Special Avatar Coke Zero Cans will feature Augmented Reality.

To the left is a new Coca Cola can that will be released soon that features a special image on it. When you hold this can up to your web cam, you will be able to see a helicopter and control it by moving the can around. This is absolutely one of the coolest marketing campaigns I’ve yet yo see. Rumor has it that McDonald’s will be coming out with special cards based on Avatar that when held up to a web cam will do the same thing. There are also avatar toy’s that are coming out and when you hold up to the web cam, they come to life on screen and will even interact with one another.

Avatar is really pushing the boundaries on technology right now and I applaud James Cameron for doing so. This lets the word out on all this new and exciting tech that not everyone knows about.
