3D gaming is really going crazy at E3 this year. I can not wait to try it, it surely must be one hell of an experience. Nintendo just listed more 3DS games, and holy shit Mario Kart is on the list. Yay!

Sony Announces 3D Titles at E3

The Playstation 3 is the first console to be fully compatible for 3D gaming. Assuming you have a 3D television set of course. If you do, here is a list of some upcoming 3D titles Sony announced today at E3. Twenty 3D titles will be arriving by March of next year. Sony's 3D television sets begin shipping this week.

E3 is in full effect and many gaming companies are jumping on the 3D bandwagon. The CEO of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata showed off the 3DS today at E3 and gave some stats on the new handheld system.
It has a wider top screen: a 3.5 inch wide display,
includes a slider control to choose the degree of 3D, from "none" to "all."
Improved graphics capability from the current generation of DS.
Will feature a "slide pad" controller.
Contains motion and gyro sensors.
Compatible with Nintendo DS...

Check out this amazing trailer that was shown at the MTV movie awards. I have been a huge fan of all the Harry Potter movies, and it seems every year the midnight opening crowd at the movies just gets bigger and bigger. The last one I went to, a line was wrapped around an entire mall almost two times...With that said I hope they do 3D right in this movie. It wasn't shot in native 3D, they are converting the film, much like they did for Alice in Wonderland, and Clash of the Titans.

So I will admit I was a bit harsh on Shrek Forever After before it came out. I was presently surprised when I watched the movie. The 3-D effects are fantastic, and it has some really funny scenes.

Here are some really sweet videos on youtube that are in 3-D. They work the same way as the old Magic Eye posters that I am sure everyone experienced back in the day. Just keep the videos minimized and either cross your eyes or try and defocus your view to blur the two images into a center one and you will have 3-D video. Disney just released seven new pictures from their upcoming film Tron Legacy. Most of these pictures aren't actually screen grabs from the movie, but are the CGI models of different things in the film. The new tron type suit looks way better than the last, and I am excited that there is now more vehicles other than the traditional Tron speeder bike.
