The first trailer for Resident Evil: Afterlife is online and let me just say it looks bad ass. I think anyone that had a Playstation owned a copy of Resident Evil. The movies up to this point have been okay, they haven't been horrible but they could have been a lot better.
Right away I noticed what seems to be Albert Wesker. Also it seems the creators of this movie went the extra mile to explain in quite some detail for a trailer the technology behind the 3D effects, and that it won't just be...

Google loves April fools day probably more than any company on the internet. One of their new April fools jokes today is the ability to make Google maps viewable in 3D. If you go to street view you will see a little guy with 3D glasses above his head. Click that and it will make any street 3D. You have to have the red/cyan glasses for this to work, but it does indeed work. Check out these photos to see it in action.

Bad acting? Check. Bad storyline? Check. 3D gimmicks? Check. I think you get the point that I am trying to make here. This movie among some other ones coming out this year looks absolutely terrible and is an extremely obvious way for a studio to exploit the new 3D industry. I've said this time and time again and I hope it is sooner rather than later that the studios realize this. If we are going to shell out the extra dough to go and see a 3D movie, well it better have more to it than just some ...

Considering The Hills has just got the axe, attention whore Heidi Montag had to quickly formulate a plan to get even more attention, and more time being famous for no reason what so ever. She told People magazine "I'm so excited 'The Hills' is finally over and I can now become a full time motion picture actress." Oh god please let this all be a huge joke....please!
She has even written a script for her first breakthrough role where she will play a lifeguard who saves the day with her 3-D boob...

Although Buck Rogers is before my time I am still very familiar with his story. Buck Rogers was an air force pilot during a world war and when the war ended he got a job surveying for a mine. While in the mine rocks behind him fall down, trapping Buck Rogers. He is rendered unconscious and a strange gas puts him in a suspended animation for a long time (he doesn't wake up until 2429).

Dreamwork's How To Train Your Dragon is the story of a viking boy named Hiccup. Hiccup is not the typical viking however, as he is as skinny as a toothpick and by all means a nerd, if it were possible to have nerds back then anyway. Hiccup is born into a world where you are born and raised to fight, and kill dragons. But something about this doesn't seem quite right to him, so instead going down the path to become a mighty warrior Hiccup becomes the blacksmith's apprentice. This is a perfect fit...

Just a real quick post reminding everyone that How to Train Your Dragon comes out today.
From the studio that brought you "Shrek," "Madagascar" and "Kung Fu Panda" comes "How to Train Your Dragon." Set in the mythical world of burly Vikings and wild dragons, and based on the book by Cressida Cowell, the action comedy tells the story of Hiccup, a Viking teenager who doesnt exactly fit in with his tribes longstanding tradition of heroic dragon slayers. Hiccups world is turned upside down w...

Avatar will be re-released this summer according to THR. James Cameron and Fox are in talks to bring Avatar back to the box office. The re-release will feature previously un-released scenes that will bring the movie to 170 minutes long, which just so happens to be the maximum limit for an IMAX film.
The two scenes that may be included may be a scene where Jake Sully has to prove himself to the Na'vi people, and another showing a native festival. From a business perspective this is a great...

BBC News is reporting that spinach addict Popeye the sailor man will be making a big screen return and that the movie will be released in 3D. Hannah Minghella, from Sony Pictures Animation, said Popeye was "one of the most enduring and iconic cartoon characters of all time".
Interesting fact. The reason Popeye uses spinach to get strong is actually attributed to a misprint. A study published in 1870 said spinach had 10 times the amount of iron that it actually had. The typo wasn't correcte...
