Avatar's record opening for a 3D movie was short lived. Alice in wonderland took in over $116 million from Friday to Sunday, which definitely trumps Avatar's opening of a mere $77million. This is all U.S sales only though. Avatar is still the king of international sales. Avatar took in $242 million while Alice In Wonderland took in 210.3 million.
I think you can explain this by Avatar being the ultimate hype machine and it did all the heavy lifting to get the ball rolling and bring attention ...

It was 1:30 pm on a Friday afternoon and the IMAX theater as packed. I sat anxiously to see the new Alice in Wonderland, as I am a big Johnny Depp fan, and an even bigger Tim Burton fan. Finally the film begins and I sit back to enjoy the ride.
Alice in Wonderland is not the conventional story that we all know and have seen before. Instead Alice is much older and can not remember anything about wonderland except in constant nightmares that she has. While at a party a Lord proposes to her and ...

Theater owners all across the world are not pleased with Disney's newly announced plan to push the DVD release date for the new Alice in Wonderland movie up to 12 weeks of the theatrical run. A typical DVD is released at about 17 weeks after the initial theatrical release. Disney is doing this in hopes of increasing it's DVD sales by making the film available by this summer. Several major theater chains have threatened to boycott the film, stating they could lose revenue.

Here is a new video showing off some new scenes in the upcoming Alice in Wonderland movie. This video shows much more than anything we have seen so far. A few things that caught my eye was the scenery. It has the same classic Tim Burton feel like many of his other movies have, which I really enjoy. I've always loved his artistic direction, and when I was young I loved watching Alice in Wonderland. I Think that in order to get the most out of this movie you will have to go and see it in IMAX 3D. ...

Here is the latest trailer for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. This is the first real good look we get into the movie, and I must say I am loving the direction they are going. I have always loved the unique artistic style of Burton and Alice in Wonderland seems to be a great match for him. The red queen is absolutely hilarious. I love how she looks and found it quite funny when she commands "I need a pig here" and after the pig slides under her feet she says to the Mad Hatter "I love a warm p...
