So I will admit I was a bit harsh on Shrek Forever After before it came out. I was presently surprised when I watched the movie. The 3-D effects are fantastic, and it has some really funny scenes. Shrek Forever After is Dreamworks latest film. It is the fourth installment for the Shrek Series, and it is rocking the charts this week. It beat out Iron Man 2 to take the top spot, taking in over 71million dollars. That is big, considering in second place, Iron Man, took in 26million. It really se...
  • How To Train Your Dragon – Review
    by Cameron
    Posted March 26th, 2010 at 8:43 pm
Dreamwork's How To Train Your Dragon is the story of a viking boy named Hiccup. Hiccup is not the typical viking however, as he is as skinny as a toothpick and by all means a nerd, if it were possible to have nerds back then anyway. Hiccup is born into a world where you are born and raised to fight, and kill dragons. But something about this doesn't seem quite right to him, so instead going down the path to become a mighty warrior Hiccup becomes the blacksmith's apprentice. This is a perfect fit...
  • Alice In Wonderland Review

It was 1:30 pm on a Friday afternoon and the IMAX theater as packed. I sat anxiously to see the new Alice in Wonderland, as I am a big Johnny Depp fan, and an even bigger Tim Burton fan. Finally the film begins and I sit back to enjoy the ride. Alice in Wonderland is not the conventional story that we all know and have seen before. Instead Alice is much older and can not remember anything about wonderland except in constant nightmares that she has. While at a party a Lord proposes to her and ...
  • How I fell in love with an alien – Avatar Review.

James Cameron's Avatar has earned the title for the most expensive movie ever created. In my opinion it was well worth it. I can say without a doubt in my mind this movie has revolutionized the world of cinema. I love movies that are bold and movies that try something new, and Avatar has done both. Avatar is one of those movies that comes along very rarely that make you come out of the theater looking at life in a different way and asking yourself questions that you've never asked. I will do ...

When I went to see this movie tonight I really did not know what to expect. I didn't get my hopes up for it in fact I went in thinking this is going to not be that great. The film features three bands. It opens with Gogol Bordello. Bordello's performance was amazing. The song selection was perfect and the 3D really made you feel like you were a part of the audience. The theater I go to has an exceptional sound system so it was a real treat to listen to. The movie showed a lot of crowd scenes whi...

A Christmas Carol is about an old man Ebenezer Scrooge who must come face to face with three ghosts. The Ghost of Christmas Past, who shows Scrooge where he came from, and what kind of man used to be. The Ghost of Christmas Present, who opens Scrooges eyes to the glum world of today, and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come who shows Scrooge what the world will be like if he doesn't strive to be a better man. The story takes place in London in the 1800's around Christmas day. Jim Carrey plays the ...

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs is based on the children's book by Judi Barrett. It follows a young inventor, Flint Lockwood, who is always trying to invent something to help everyone, yet always comes up short. When his town is doomed to eat only sardines, Flint sets out to invent a machine that turns water into food and this is when the madness ensues. I remember reading the book when I was a kid and wishing how it would come true. This movie really lets you experience food raining from t...
